I found this to have noticeably less pigmentation in comparison to the rest and needed a bit of layering to get opaque cover. Runway Hit (Retro Matte) – A neutral toned peach with a heavy white base. Wear wise these wore forever! Although after 2-3 hours they did look a little beat and reapplication is a must just to rehydrate lips and keep the colour looking fresh. The drier formula tends to tug on the lips on application and felt continuously drier as the day passed. Steady Going (Retro Matte) – A light-medium cool toned pink with medium colour payoff in a single swipe.
Onto some colour descriptions and observations

In fact I feel they are a little less drying than MAC Mattes used to be. The others are just Mattes (thankfully) and didn’t leave my lips dying for lip balm. Gorgeous but needs a little prep before applying. And fittingly, drier than the desert! Steady Going and Runway Hit are both Retro Mattes. They are THE most matte lipsticks you’ll ever find. I don’t really know everybody has their own opinion mine at least is a matte lip. As for me, I am not very comfortable wearing a glossy or shiny nude lip cause it would somewhat look washed out. In my opinion, always a matte or a satin finish is preferred for wen going for a nude lip. But I gave it a try and this how it looks on my lips ,it is a pretty brown colour with mauve undertones,that looks girly and not like those sick yester year aunty type browns :p To be frank when I first tried it out I thought it would be way too dark and brown for my nc 35 complexion(have been super tanned these summers so look darker now). So anyway this lipstick is of my favourite finish from mac ,it’s MATTE and I anyway am a sucker for matte lipsticks. I got this beauty to be the perfect lip for any day everyday. well yeah this was the most unexpected of colours that I hot thought of serving as the perfect nude for me.īut yeah I walked into the mac store splurging upon one of the viva glam lipstick and there was offered this and yeah I got it. well finally I got mine in the face of mac taupe. So everybody hands up who has got their perfect nude lip at hands.
